EVERGREEN TOWNSHIP

PUBLIC HEARING
TAKE NOTICE that the Township Board of Evergreen Township will hold a public hearing during
its regular meeting on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 commencing at 7:00 p.m. (local time) at the
Township Hall, located 3044 E. Sidney Rd, Sheridan, Michigan 48804, to receive public comment
pertaining to the Application for Solar Energy Facility Exemption Certificate submitted by the
DTE Electric Company (“DTE”) regarding the Fish Creek Solar Park. During the hearing, the
applicant will have the opportunity to present the application to the Township Board.
Until the close of the public hearing or any adjournment thereof, the application may be inspected
and examined at Township Hall, located at 3044 E Sidney Road, Sheridan, MI 48884,
Monday through Friday by appointment only.

Written comments may be submitted in lieu of or in addition to a personal appearance. Written
comments must be received no later than 12 p.m. (noon) on January 14, 2026. Written comments
should be addressed to the Township Board and must be sent to the Township Clerk at Township
Hall or via email at evergreenclerk18@gmail.com.
Individuals requesting reasonable accommodation for impairments or disabilities should contact
the Township Clerk no less than 72 hours prior to the public hearing.

Established in 1856, Evergreen Township is a civil township of Montcalm County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 2,922 at the 2000 census. The township has a total area of 35.3 square miles (91.4 km2), of which 34.7 square miles (89.8 km2) is land and 0.6 square mile (1.7 km2) (1.81%) is water.
