SPECIAL MEETING
Date/Time: March 24, 2026 – Time: 7:00 PM
Location: Evergreen Township Hall, 3044 E. Sidney Rd, Sheridan, MI 48881
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Evergreen Township Board will hold a special meeting at the above-referenced time and place. During the meeting, the Township Board may discuss, deliberate, and potentially take action on the following items, and no other business may be transacted unless all Board members are present and consent:
(1) Public hearing to consider and potentially approve the proposed 2026-2027 fiscal budget. A copy of the proposed budget is available for public inspection during normal business hours at the Township Hall, or upon request from the Township Clerk. The property tax millage rate proposed to be levied to support the proposed budget will be a subject of this hearing.
(2) Review, consideration, and potential action on a proposed Community Benefits Agreement with DTE Electric Company. A copy of the proposed Agreement is available upon request from the Township Clerk.
(3) Review, consideration, and potential action on the Application for Solar Energy Facility Exemption Certificate submitted by DTE Electric Company for the Fish Creek Solar Park. A copy of the Application is available on the Township’s website or upon request from the Township Clerk.
(4) Any other business that may lawfully come before the Township Board.

Established in 1856, Evergreen Township is a civil township of Montcalm County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 2,922 at the 2000 census. The township has a total area of 35.3 square miles (91.4 km2), of which 34.7 square miles (89.8 km2) is land and 0.6 square mile (1.7 km2) (1.81%) is water.
