Evergreen Township is accepting bids for lawn maintenance for the 2026 season for the Evergreen Township Cemetery located on Muskrat Road. Bids should include lawn mowing and trimming, spring and fall clean up and weed control. Preferred method of bids to be a flat rate for the season. Please mail all bids to Evergreen Township PO Box 147 Sheridan, MI 48884. Please write the word "bid" on the outside of the envelope as they will remain sealed until our meeting. Bids due by no later than December 5, 2025. Please contact the township office with any questions, 989-831-9043.
The Evergreen Township board is committed to serving the residents of Evergreen Township. All non-zoned townships in Montcalm County have been asked to adopt a blight ordinance which would be enforced by the Montcalm County Sheriff. Please read the first draft of the blight ordinance, and tell us if you believe the ordinance should be adopted in Evergreen Township.

Established in 1856, Evergreen Township is a civil township of Montcalm County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 2,922 at the 2000 census. The township has a total area of 35.3 square miles (91.4 km2), of which 34.7 square miles (89.8 km2) is land and 0.6 square mile (1.7 km2) (1.81%) is water.
